How to EnterEntries must be submitted on DVD in NTSC format only in English or with English subtitles. Each entry must be accompanied by a completed, signed entry form and an entry fee. Checks should be made out to: Grease Bomb, LLC

Please send 3 copies of your film on DVD. Films will not be returned (unless you really need them back). Films selected for the festival are placed in the Official NYC Food Film Festival Archive and may be used for promotional purposes.

If your film is selected, you must be able to provide the NYC Food Film Festival with up to (but not limited to) 3 excellent production stills to be distributed to the press and for use on the festival website. It probably goes without saying, but the best stills get the best exposure. If your film has a link to a trailer online that is a bonus.

There is no limit to the number of films you may enter. There is also no restriction on the date your film was completed (unless it is so out of date that the subject is irrelevant)  ALL GENRES are eligible for entry (documentary, animation, narrative, instructional, food porn É). The NYC Food Film Festival celebrates food - no scolding polemic please. Your entry must also be a final version. Works-in-progress will not be accepted.

Entry Fees$25 for feature films (45 minutes and over), $20 for shorts (under 45 minutes, but longer than 5 mins), $15 for super-shorts (under 5 minutes). Anyone that can prove their student status is entitled to a $5 discount in any category. Pay by check, or submit payment to our PayPal account here. NO MONEY ORDERS PLEASE.

All entries should be postmarked no later than March 31st, 2010 and shipped to:

Selection The selection of films is made by the Festival Selection Committee. ONLY FILMS ABOUT FOOD, OR FILMS ABOUT PEOPLE WHO MAKE FOOD, WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THE FESTIVAL. A one-hour film with a 2 minute food scene IS NOT A FOOD FILM. A bonus to your entry would be if your film contains a food or a cooking method that can be reproduced live as your film is being shown. A Director or representative from the film able to attend their screening is not mandatory but appreciated.

If your film is chosen, you will be notified prior to May 15, 2010.

Screening The 2010 NYC Food Film Festival will be held June 23rd – 27th, 2010.  All films chosen for the festival will be screened at various locations around New York City including Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.
